Deadline for submissions of Evacuation Grant Proposals

Press Release:
The governing body of Evacuation International announced today that the closing date for the submission of proposals is Friday June 6th. Submission proposal requirements have been posted and circulated to all participating groups. A spokesperson for Evacuation International said (off the record) that the granting agency is particularly interested in three projects. The Honolulu rescue mission, by Team Honolulu: The Kingston-upon-Hull mission in the UK taking the evacuees to Iceland by Team Sylvesta Connora and last but not least the Chesterfield Nunavut rescue mission by Team H2O. "These three teams have innovative plans that are extremely promising", she said. For more information contact Dr Patrick Boyle, GI Brunel and Dr Rita Carson. Once proposals have been submitted the committee will be arranging presentation times for each group to present their proposal to the board.

Solar Ship

This design allows for the solar panels to be tilted towards the sun

Solar panels

This is the type of solar panel that Team Sylvesta Connora will be using. Having the ability to tilt them towards the sun would be amazing!

Enclosed lifeboats for Honolulu evacuees

Our team has decided our way to the shore was to use our lifeboats. Since it is potentially storm weather we wanted to have a safe way of getting them to the shore, so we decided upon enclosed lifeboats.
